Safety Policy
OUTBREAK: ECHOES is a physical outdoor game. You are responsible for your safety and for respecting other people and property.
1. Stay aware
- Watch for traffic, cyclists, obstacles, water, cliffs, and uneven ground.
- Do not play in roads, active construction, or unsafe areas.
- Pocket play and earbuds reduce awareness — keep environmental hearing or use one earbud.
- Obey local laws, park rules, and private-property boundaries.
2. Photosensitivity / strobes
- The game can flash the phone torch (strobe flare, crate beacons, Hunt Vision).
- If you have epilepsy, migraines, or light sensitivity, avoid strobes or do not play.
- Warn your group before using strobes near others.
3. Conduct
- Do not shove, chase into traffic, or harass bystanders.
- Fictional infection must never involve unwanted physical contact.
4. Group play
- Agree on a meeting point and emergency contacts before Zero Hour.
- Stop if weather or conditions become unsafe.
By playing, you acknowledge these risks and agree to play responsibly.
